random things that I did this week:
My senior hear in high school my parents wanted to do something to help my family grow closer together. They took advantage of the lake just down the road and got jet skis. We were so excited.
The first time I was able to go for a ride my brother and I went out alone. We had a blast, I swear there was no one on the water but us. A couple hours went by and we realized we should probably be heading back.
We drove back towards the dock. (keep in mind I had never driven a jet ski before, so I didn't know how to stop one.) I gassed it all the way till I was near the dock, then without much time to think I crashed to a halt. There was a huge dent in the front. My heart sank. WHY!!? I could just hear my father saying, "Why can't we keep anything nice and new?!" I started to tear up knowing he would be so disappointed. We loaded up and went home.
We pulled in, and I sat on the back porch step and waited for my father to come home from work. I decided I wouldn't hide the huge gash on his new "baby" longer than needed.
When he arrived I showed him my mistake, apologized, and waited for his response. His face was serious, I was expecting him to get angry, but instead he looked away and walked inside, not
saying a word. I sat back on the step and cried. He works so hard to provide for all of u, and then we just go destroy his nice things.
Finally, he came back outside. He sat down next to me.
"are you ok?" he asked.
Tears rolled down face and I told him I wasn't harmed a bit, in fact my whole heart was filled. Of course he was sad about the jet ski, but there was nothing he could do about it. His real care was for me.
l am so grateful for both of my parents and their examples. I couldn't ask for better ones.
Elder Duba (something like that) is coming from the quarm of the 70 this week to talk to the whole TMM. We are pumped!!
Can I say how grateful I am for my mission?
long live the TMM,

great quote for the day: "gracias que pudimos comer un chicito.. digo pocito."
- washed 13 puppies for a member. #waterwaseverywhere.
- made vegan pumpkin cookies while discussing "The Art of Tidying Up" with my new favorite person in McAllen, Sister Russell.
- we had interviews with presidente. Those ten minutes are so precious, it's amazing how the spirit can pierce ones heart.
