Goooood Mornin' folks! Now hop out of bed, bright eye'd and bushy tailed! It's grrrrroundhogs day! (I wish I could quote the movie word for word, but I can't because I haven't seen it for a year).
Things that happened that are out of the ordinary for a regular person, but for a missionary are completely normal:
I have been thinking of what it will be like when Christ comes again. In 3 Nephi it talks about when Christ comes to the Americas after his resurrection.
3 Nephi 11: 14 Arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am the God ofI srael, and the God of the whole earth, and have been slain for the sins of the world.
15 And it came to pass that the multitude went forth, and thrust their hands into his side, and did feel the prints of the nails in his hands and in his feet; and this they did do, going forth one by one until they had all gone forth, and did see with their eyes and did feel with their hands, and did know of a surety and did bear record, that it was he, of whom it was written by the prophets, that should come.
There are 2,500 thousand people who witnessed appearance. The first thing he did when he arrived was allow all of the people to come up and touch his hands, side, and feet.
Can you imagine what it would be like? Seeing the scars in the hands of the most perfect person ever to live, because of our faults? Each individual person was allowed time to spend with him. There were 2,500 people! That means that if everyone were to have about 20 seconds with the Savior it would have taken 20 hours. But time doesn't matter to him; he was just as happy to see the first person in line as was he with the 1,839th person. It shows just how much love he has for all of us.
When Christ comes again I wonder when he comes again what it will be like. Will it be broadcasted on NBC news? Will I know right away that he is my Savior? What will people do in order to see him? Will I be worthy to fall at his feet and thank him for his sacrifice? It's a topic that never leaves my mind, and how cool it is that everyday I get to help people prepare for that day.
I have been studying Alma 5 to see what it is that I need to change to better myself. Join me if you like!
I love you all and wish you the very best! It's crazy to think how life is still going on, sometimes I think I am in a different world. Sister Taylor and I were talking about if our families or friends were to randomly show up here in Laredo that we would probably be so confused that we'd pass out. That day is along ways away, and I happily say that. Not to say that I don't want to see you, but I am just so happy where I am and what I am doing.
S/O:
Lincoln Dwayne and Samuel Alexander for coming to the greatest parents (wel.. second. I have the greatest parents), Sami and Billy Garrison
Shelby Olson for turning 20 today. I am so sad I wasn't there to wake you up with birthday cake pancakes and something weird and ground-hoggy.
Puxitony(can't spell) Phil for his great day today. I don't know if he saw his shadow, but the weather is great in Laredo.. living in the south is what's up.
paz afuera. (laugh at my tex-mex direct translation problems..it's not my fault.)

Things that happened that are out of the ordinary for a regular person, but for a missionary are completely normal:
- I got pulled over by the LPD(Laredo Police Department) this week.. but luckily it was just because I forgot to turn the headlights on.. phew. (that's really not very normal for a missionary)
- I walked a sheep while teaching a girl about the plan God has for her.
- I knocked on someone's door last night and they looked through the window and yelled, "We aren't home! Go away!"
